Corrections are the messages we most want to get.

Reporting a figure

If a rate, cap or deduction looks wrong, send the page it is on, the figure you saw, and the source that disagrees with it. That lets us check the claim against the issuing authority the same day rather than trying to reproduce what you saw. Payroll figures get reissued more often than people expect, and a reader with a current withholding table is frequently ahead of us.

A state rule we have missed

The rules we model are listed on how we calculate. If your state does something that page does not mention, particularly a local or occupational tax, that is worth telling us about: those are the rules generic calculators skip and the ones most likely to make a real difference to your number.

Anything else

Questions about how a calculator works, or a page that is not behaving in your browser, are welcome too. What we cannot do is advise on your personal tax position. We do not know your full circumstances and we are not your tax preparer, so an answer from us would be worth less than the one you would get from someone who can see your return.

Email is the best way to reach us, and corrections are read first.
